16-year-old Charged in Murder

Update on 16-year Saharra Carr, who was charged in the murder of Army Veteran, Nathan Carter last Friday here in Meridian.

Carter was found July 24th between Cefco gas station and Village apartments on Mosby road in his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest

Carr made an initial court appearance Friday where Judge Dustin Markham set her bond at 1 million dollars.

Police say that before the shooting Carr was out on a $25,000 bond for an armed robbery she committed.

The severity of the case will hold Carr to be charged as an adult even though she is a minor.

Carr’s next court appearance is set for noon on August 12th. She is being held at Kemper county jail.
