The Meridian Symphony League invites all beer connoisseurs to its third annual beer tasting fundraiser this Thursday at Mitchell Distributing.
“We’ve got six food vendors coming out to sample food from, and Mitchell is sponsoring us and they’re bringing all kinds of beer in to taste with each food,” said Ashley Massey, former president of the Meridian Symphony Association.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m., and Mitchell Distributing will provide the beer samples. All proceeds from the event will help benefit the Meridian Symphony Association.
“It can be education, it could instruments for the little ones, or advertising for their own concerts,” said Massey.
The event will also feature a silent auction and raffle. Massey explained why it’s important to show your support.
“The symphony is kind of a hidden treasure. A lot of people don’t know about it. It’s a fun thing. It’s good for any age. They have different concerts throughout the entire year. They literally appeal to anyone. Sometimes they’re outdoors at a different plaza. Most of them are at the Riley Center. It’s just a fun experience to go and see because not every town has a symphony.”
People can buy tickets at Harry Mayer Clothiers, Belle G, or any Meridian Symphony League member.
