The roar of motorcycle engines will fill the air on Saturday, December 10th. The Chunky River HOG chapter is hosting a Christmas toy run for children in need.
“If you have a motorcycle, it doesn’t matter the make, model, or brand. You’re welcome to join us. We only request that you bring at least one unwrapped new toy,” said Eddy Chaney, the chapter’s public relations director.
Registration begins at 11 and the ride starts at noon.
“Our route is going to leave the dealership. We’ll go up by the mall, circle the mall, come back down through highway 39 by Trucker’s Supply. We’ll hit the bypass, go up to North Hills Street, take a left, go up through Broadmoor area.”
Those who can’t participate but wish to donate can bring toys to the Chunky River dealership.
“We’re going to donate them to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will have a truck there that day, and we’ll be loading them up on the truck,” said Chaney.
He added the event is a way to give back.
“It’s always a hard time in this area for the young people. We try our best to give a little bit of cheer back to the community. This is a good way for us adults ride motorcycles and have fun and still give back to the community.”
