Dean Aircraft Service Employee receives Mechanic of the Year Award.

An employee of the Dean Aircraft Service in Meridian is the recipient of the prestigious Mechanic of the Year Award for 2016 from the State of Mississippi office of the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tom Meek, who has worked as a mechanic at Dean Aircraft for 28 years, will be named Aviation Technician of the Year for the state.

Meek, a native of Williamsport, KY joined the U.S. Navy in 1983 and served 4 years active duty. He also served in guard units in both the Army and Air force.
