Church hosts health fair

Over the weekend, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church hosted a health fair to inform residents of resources available.

“It’s very important to make sure that people take care of themselves to prevent things such as cancer. It’s important that men follow up with checks, and with women that they get the mammograms, especially with blood pressure and making sure that you maintain your blood sugar,” said Cynthia Graham, the event coordinator.

Happy Smiles, Walmart, Preventive Health, and Divas on the Run were some of the health providers present. Residents received dental screenings, vision screenings, and information about physical health. Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church plans to host the event again in the future.
