Crown’d Inc. hosts summer youth program

A local youth program is offering a positive experience and activities for kids this summer. It’s called Crown’d Incorporated and targets their physical, mental, and emotional needs. It’s for boys and girls ages five and up.
“We’ll bring all different types of teachers, mentors, and speakers in to the children. Already, they’ve started African dance. They’ve had a yoga instructor come in. They’re also doing modeling this summer,” said Alesha Wilson, the founder.
“They’ll be doing self-defense and fitness training. Next month, we’re kicking off the horseback riding. There will be field trips,” said Dwyla Wilson, the executive director.
The program meets twice a week at the Total Transformation Suite on Hwy 19 next to the El Norte restaurant. Tuition is $45 for the entire summer and scholarships are available. For more information on how kids can sign up, call 601-227-0646.
