Kiss a Pig at Highland Baptist Church
It’s vacation bible school time, at highland Baptist church.
“This is something that we do every year. And this year is Galactic Starveyers. And we’ve had over 200 kids to come this year and rotate and crafts and snacks and learn the gospel and music and dance and, it’s just been a great time," said children's director, Dana Casey.
Throughout the week, the church took collections to raise money for Operation Christmas Child.
"We take and offering every year. The children bring an offering every day. And we weigh it. To see how much it weighs and then the girl or the boy wins for the day. Our goal of $1500 we maxed it already. So today, we are up, to make a guess we are probably close to $2000.”
Although the boys won the collections competition, it was the girl staff members who had to kiss the pig.
"The girls on staff had to kiss a pig. So that was me and some others in the office. He was very wiggley and squealy and he taste like dirt.”
But, in the end, kissing the pig was for a good cause.
