New Mississippi Driving Laws Take Effect July 1st.
This fourth of July holiday, there will be some changes for motorists in Mississippi. Starting this Saturday.
Three new driving laws will take effect throughout the state.
The first law requires drivers in the left lane to pass another vehicle or make a left turn. The second new law, will require everyone in a vehicle on Mississippi roads to wear a seat-belt. And the third, people will no longer be able to ride in the back of a pick up truck.
All new laws that were passed during this year's legislative session in Mississippi and will take effect this Saturday on July 1st. The fine for breaking one of the new laws will be $25.
