6th annual Alabama congresswoman Terry Sewell Congressional Job Fair

“Our job fair is an opportunity for us to connect job seekers, with great employers in the area, ” says Alabama congresswoman, Terry Sewell at this afternoons job fair at the University of West Alabama.

“Well we are really excited to be right here in Livingston, in Sumpter County Alabama. I do this every year since I’ve been elected and I move it around because I have 14 counties. We try to do urban rule, urban rule.”

Inside the gymnasium, there over 60 employers looking to hire.

“With over 60 employers, that have to be hiring when you come to my job fair. You have to be an employer with jobs, with an s. That is multiple jobs. So, we are really excited about the fact that they are willing to promote better workforce opportunities. And we are so excited that so many people, have decided to come out to today’s job fair.”

She goes on to say the fair had a great turnout, and they will be back to do it again next year.
