Man arrested for gravel theft

A man has been indicted and arrested after authorities say he stole more than $1,000 worth of gravel from the state of Mississippi.

David Joles is accused of stealing gravel at a holding area on highway 493, near Dogwood lake road.

the incident, happened in February 2016, when a concerned citizen spotted Joles taking the gravel, and called police.

A Meridian police officer spotted the vehicle and Joles was later indicted by a grand jury for felony grand larceny.
