MDOT is warning of a project that will in district five beginning tomorrow, weather permitting, and continuing into the fall.
The project will affect Newton, Neshoba, and Kemper counties.
MDOT says the pavement preservation is a proactive treatment placed on an existing pavement and designed to extend the life of the roadway.
The operation will seal existing cracks to minimize moisture penetrating through the surface.
Drivers are strongly encouraged to pay close attention to all signs, workers and equipment during this time.
