Meridian Day Festival this weekend

The second annual Meridian Day Festival kicks off this Saturday on the city hall lawn. The free event will be full of games, music, and food.
“This is our community. We all need to pull together. We all need to say hey, this is my Meridian. Let’s come together, bring our lawn chairs, and have one big day where we say we’re all united,” said Yolanda Edmonds, the event coordinator.
There will be inflatables, pony rides, face painting, and a dunking booth. Stage entertainment will include the Luv Undercover Band, Scott Mcquaig & The Tomcats, and Fatback. The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.
