Alabama residents petition for air conditioning on buses
As we go into the end of summer, days are still pretty hot and parents in Alabama are complaining about school buses not having A/C. A statewide petition has started to gather at least 10,000 names in support of legislation to have all Alabama school buses air conditioned. The Voice for Children on Buses petition was started online by a bus driver in the Dothan area and is being shared on Facebook. Parents have written comments about children being dehydrated after riding the school buses and being dropped off at home soaked in sweat. So far, the petition has gathered over 9,000 signatures.
