Vehicle accident involving fire truck

A Meridian fire truck was involved in an accident while it was responding to a fire Sunday afternoon.

It happened at the intersection of 23rd street and 19th avenue around five.

Officials say a small compact car hit the fire truck.

Those inside the car ran from the scene.

No firefighters were hurt and the truck was not badly damaged.

Police are currently looking for the suspects.
