Nickelodeon “Worldwide Day of Play” coming soon
Here’s a chance for local youth to get some outdoor-fun. Nickelodeon’s “Worldwide Day of Play” is coming to Meridian on September 16, bringing lots of games and prizes. The day is set aside nationwide for kids to become more active.
“It’s always important for kids to say healthy, not just sitting on the couch at home, but getting that 60 minutes of play every day,” said Thomas Adams, the athletics director of the City of Meridian Parks and Recreation Department.
The department and the Boys and Girls club of East Mississippi are sponsoring the event, which takes place at Highland Park from 10 a.m. To 2. The two groups are asking for toy donations and for vendors to sign up.
