Choctaw casino vote set for Nov. 17

The Choctaw Tribe will soon vote on whether to build another Mississippi casino. The date has been set for November 17. If approved by the 10,000-member tribe, the casino could be built in Leake County in the Red Water community. There are two casinos, Silver Star and Golden Moon, in Choctaw and Neshoba counties. A third one is in Bok Homa in Jones County. In 2015, the tribe reopened the Golden Moon casino full time, following a $70 million-plus renovation.
