Junior Auxillary ball gets new president.
The JA of Meridian has just welcomed a new president.
Her name is Christin Waters and she says, “Being the President means so much to me. I get to stand and lead a wonderful group of women that have big hearts in this community, and want to see great things in the development of our children in Lauderdale county.”

She is very excited about the rest of the upcoming events, in 2017. She says it all comes down, to the big JA Ball, this February.
“We have our charity ball on February 3. And everybody is welcome to come, it’s $50 a ticket. And we have dancing, silent auction, bourbon flights, campaign flights. And we are excited to have the Composition band back. They are wonderful and it will be a great night out.”
But, although the Ball is fun, she says the Junior Auxiliary has so much more to offer.
“We are a nonprofit organization that helps the children in our community in various ways. We take books to the schools and read to them. We distributed 3000 books in 2016. We are partnered with the Meridian children’s museum of meridian, we are focused on different activities to bring to community children.”
