Construction begins on Choctaw Indian health clinic

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians is working to improve the quality of healthcare for tribal members. The group recently broke ground for a new Red Water community health clinic. Construction starts this month. The $2.5 million health facility will be four times larger than the current facility built in 1972, allowing more space for services offered. It will offer primary care, dental, community health and environmental services.
