Boy Scouts to let girls into programs

The Boy Scouts of America is expanding its programs to include girls’ participation. Wednesday, the Board of Directors announced that girls will be admitted into the Cubs Scouts starting next year. It also said a new program would be established that enables older girls to aspire to the coveted rank of Eagle Scout. Boy Scouts leaders said the changes were made to provide more options for parents.
