Blues Marker in Meridian

Mississippi Blues Trail has just unveiled a new Blues and Jazz marker, in downtown Meridian.

The marker, which was unveiled on Thursday evening, is located on the corner of 5th street and 25th avenue. The Mississippi Blues Trail was launched in 2006, as an effort to recognize blues musicians and tell their stories across the region. The Meridian monument is the 198th marker, in the magnolia state.
