Body Found in Meridian

Just before eight am this morning a body was found near the corner of 14th street and 25th avenue.

The unidentified body was in a grassy area and noticed as a passerby made several trips around the block attempting to make contact with the person, and didn’t get a response. Captain John Griffith says it is unlikely that foul play is involved as the Meridian Police Department continues to investigate the death. The body has bent sent off, for an autopsy report to determine the cause of death.
