Sheriff's Department EVOC Training
The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department took part in their Emergency Vehicle Operation Course at Meridian's Regional Airport today here in Meridian. This course happens once every three years, and everyone is required to go through it whether they have already done it or not. The sheriff's department uses their own vehicles for this training since every car drives differently, and they want them to have a genuine experience on the course since they are driving these cars every day on patrol. The focus of this course is on technique and allowing the deputies to drive in stressful situations so when they occur on the clock, they're prepared.
