Lamar Raiders take D2 state championship game

Big congratulations sent in the direction of Lamar school at this past weekends D-2 state championship game in Jackson. Lamar trailed Simpson Academy 32 to 26 late in the contest but were able to tie the game up on a three-yard score.The extra point put the raiders ahead and they were able to hang on for the 33-32 win in overtime. The victory gave the Lamar raiders their fifth state championship.
