Loves Kitchen Prepares for Thanksgiving

“Loves Kitchen is preparing to serve those in need, those that are hungry, tomorrow from 11 to 12:30. We will serve the traditional Thanksgiving meal, with all the trimmings," says executive director Fannie Johnson.

Employee’s at Loves Kitchen, are preparing diligently for a Thanksgiving day feast.

“We start on Monday and Tuesday cause we make like I said what people have at home, cooking for probably about 400 plates so it takes a while to get all that ready.”

The Love’s Kitchen employees are preparing drinks, turkeys and a variety of healthy meals in preparation for a Thanksgiving Day feast. “Turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes and a variety of deserts.” And starting next week, they’ll be accepting your donations.

“Canned goods, we were blessed back in November to get thousands and thousands. So we are pretty good on canned goods, but we still need non-perishable things like for breakfast and always money helps us go buy whatever we need to finish our meals and pay the bills”
