Threefoot building set to become hotel

A long awaited wish has now been granted for the city of Meridian. The historic Threefoot building is set to become a Courtyard By Marriott Hotel. The works begins on Thursday morning. This will be the first hotel in the downtown location. The paperwork leading up to this project has taken two years, and Mayor Percy Bland says he is extremely excited to see all of the planning finally paying off. The hotel is set to open sometime in 2019.
