Two for one scholarship
Spring classes for Meridian Community College begin on Monday, and some students can get in on a pretty good deal within the admissions office.
“For the Spring semester we have something called the two for one scholarship. Basically, you can take any class at MCC, whether it’s on campus, afternoon, or even online. You take that one class and then we have a list of classes that you can choose to take one of those for free.” -Deanna Smith, MCC
This two for one scholarship only applies to part-time students who do not plan on taking the amount of credits that a full-time student does.
“The list of free classes are actually, mostly late-start classes and evening classes. So, it works out great for students who are wanting to come as a part-time student, which is less than 12 hours. Maybe they want to take one online class, and they just want to come to class one night a week for an evening class, well they’re going to get a scholarship for that evening class.” -Smith
Even though classes start on Monday, you can still come into Ivy Hall where the admissions office is and register on into the end of next week on Friday.
The advising office is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 3:30pm on Fridays.
