Possible rate increase for Mississippi Power customers

Starting next month Mississippi Power customers could see a rate increase.

Yesterday the Mississippi Public Service Commission voted to approve rate increases for the Mississippi Power company.

Customers in our region could see rates rise to about 4%.

The rate increase is due to the higher cost of fuel and other operating items the company says.
