Local man is charged with kidnapping

Lauderdale county deputies were called out to a home early this morning for a domestic dispute. Forty year old Joshua Shane Boykin is charged with kidnapping, domestic violence, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Deputies say he held the victim against their will-- and there was evidence shown that a gun was fired several times. Deputies say Boykin got into a scuffle with a deputy as he tried to flee-- then somehow made his way back into the home. Deputies forced their way back in and arrested him. He has since bonded out, and this case will be presented to the next available grand jury.
