Indictment handed down in Newton murder case


Indictments have been handed down in last year's killing of Jamarcus Townsend in Newton. Nine people were indicted in connection with his shooting death, which happened the last March.
The 21-year-old was found lying on the carport at 113 Tillman street in Newton.
At the time when it happened, police suspected his murder was gang-related. and now they say some of those involved were a part of the Vice Lord Gangsta Disciples gang. The nine men were indicted on Monday and denied bond.
