United Way helping with tax season

Now that it's tax season, East Mississippi's United Way is doing it’s part to help make it easier. United Way is offering free income tax preparation to those who make 54 grand or less a year. The volunteer income tax assistance program helps tax payers to get their information into a computer and e-filed. The program will begin on February 5th and go until April 16th. United Way asks that anyone interested bring in a photo i-d, social security card, and any tax documents, and checking account information.
