Go Red For Women
Today is the first Friday in February-- which means it's national Go Red Day. Last night, people gathered at the Riley Center, dressed in red of course, to help bring awareness to heart disease in women. This event is held in conjunction with the American Heart Association. Heart disease is the number one killer of men and women in the United States, and Go Red for Women is a fun way to educate the public on the devastation of cardiovascular deaths in the U.S. each year. The state of Mississippi has the highest numbers of cardiovascular deaths per year.
