Active Shooter Part 2
An active shooter can strike, within our schools, at the work place and even within our community. So here are a few tips that you can abide by, if you are ever caught in the crossfire.

“The new montra is run hide figh," says chief deputy Ward Calhoun. "The whole idea is for people, whether they are at a shopping mall, a grocery store, or they are at work. If there is an incident where we have an active shooter, that people do something. What studies have shown is that when people do nothing, they more likely to become a victim.”
And here is what you can do if you are ever caught in an active shooter situation.
“The first thing is that if you can successfully get away is to run. And to get away and take as many people with you as you can. The second part of that is that if you are’nt able to run or you are in a position where you can’t get away is to actively hide. And sometimes then you are able to run and get away, get through a window, that kind of thing when it is safe.”
And finally, he reminds us, to always fight back.
“Whatever you have got. Not just going to gridlock and not just allowing yourself to not respond.”
