Meridian Little Theatre annual fundraiser
Lights, camera, action… well, sort of. The Meridian Little Theatre is gearing up for their next show, but this time around it will take place in the dining area.
“We have regular ticket holders that buy for the season, but this is off season, and some people want to come for just this one. Plus, the dinner—you know, we’re having prime rib, twice-baked potato. Connie Bishop will be doing that. A lot of people know Connie to be the wonderful chef she is. So, you’ll have great food; that makes this unique as well and also the interaction between the actors.” -Sydney Covington, co-star
Covington is just one of two actors who will be playing six different characters for their annual fundraiser show called Murder at the Long Branch Saloon. Those in attendance will receive the dinner and not only watch the actors perform around them, but they will get a chance to interact with them, as well.
“The audience gets to participate when they come. Some of them will be picked out at random with some scripts that they will play, and that will be a lot of fun. And then during the whole time, there’s a current murder going on that you’re going to try and figure out who the murderer is.” -Covington
The show continues tomorrow evening and will go until Sunday. Tickets are $45 each, and all shows are sold out except the show at 1p.m. on Sunday. For tickets, call the Meridian Little Theatre box office at 601-482-6371.
