Citizens National Bank donates to 15 non-profits

Citizens National Bank presented more than $70,000 in grant distributions to area non-profit organizations yesterday.
Of this amount, a total of $68,600 in donations was made through the W. R. Baird charitable trust, which is managed by Citizens National Bank’s wealth management division.
An additional $2,500 in grant funds were awarded to the Montgomery Institute on behalf of the bank.
"We are charged with the responsibility through a distribution committee to distribute those funds to help the poor people in Mississippi and Louisiana. Some of those organizations are like the Red Cross, Care Lodge; there is a number of them that we try to help supplement their operating budget." Said CNB CEO Archie McDonnell, Jr.
Mcdonnell says being able to give back to the community is a phenomenal experience.
This year Citizens National Bank gave donations to 15 local non-profits.
