Jackson State University president visits MHS
Today, students gathered together while Jackson State University gave students a special visit to Meridian High School to encourage students about the importance of going off to college after graduating.
Meridian High School takes students’ furthering their education very seriously. Meridian High School also believes in students going off to college after graduating.

Victor Hubbard, Principal of Meridian High School said “our goal is to make sure our students have opportunity once they are leaving Meridian High School. So, each day, not just today, we are talking about college, universities, we are talking about careers that are out there so students can have a better quality of life. So, it is very important that our students know what opportunities lies ahead for them”.
The ceremony held at Meridian High School was filled with excitement and fun. Dr. William Bynum president of Jackson State University also spoke to the students at meridian High School.
“What we’re trying to do is educate young people, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian. what we want to
