Texas youth choir visits Aldersgate
“You don’t have to be able to understand a certain language or a certain genre to be able to understand what we’re conveying through our music; it’s just very unifying.”
The Prime Time Youth Choir from College Station, Texas made a quick stop to Aldersgate Retirement Community to perform their songs they are currently traveling all across the southeast, to sing.

“It’s just a really, really neat experience to be able to come out here and interact with people that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise. Seeing the light of Jesus into their lives—it just brings a lot of joy to me personally to see their faces light up when we sing to them and then afterwards when we get to go and interact with them, meet with them, and talk about their day. It’s just a really, really fulfilling experience.” -Brendan McIntyre, senior, Prime Time Youth Choir

From several solos to handclapping, the choir was simply trying to bring one message.
“We want them to know that they can have something to hope for and something that is positive and that there are kids out in this world that want to do good for others. It does my heart well to see them not only the people respond to them, but that the kids respond to the ones they are helping.” -Carol Barrett, sponsor

“Our slogan is music and missions. So, everywhere we go we bring a little package of M&M’s to give to the residents so when we sing to them we explain what we’re about which is music and missions. So, we hope whenever they enjoy M&M’s or think about these songs that it brings light to them, and that’s what we’re trying to do is just shine our light in a dark world.” -McIntyre
