Man is charged for killing his wife
Thirty-one-year-old Truitt Thomas Pace has been charged with second degree murder of his wife, Marsha Pace. 9-1-1 received a call Friday night at 10:20 for a domestic dispute where medical attention was asked for as well. On the scene they determined the wife had suffered a gunshot wound. There were no witnesses on the scene, but according to Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun, one child may have been present. Pace was taken into custody on the scene.
“Our community has a wonderful resource: The Care Lodge. Anyone who finds themselves in a domestic situation where there’s troubles or arguments or things they need help with, they can certainly contact the Care Lodge at 601-693-HOPE, 24/7. It’s a great resource that’s available even for those people who needs somebody to talk with. They may not need shelter, they may just need some help.” -Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun
Pace is being held on a $100,000 bond, and Calhoun says this case is still under investigation and will be presented to the next available grand jury.
