Annual Moonlight Run happening this week
The City of Meridian's Parks & Recreation is hosting their annual Moonlight Run this Friday night. It will take place at Northeast Park and will begin at 8 pm. There will be a 5k run, two mile walk, and a kid's fun run. The pre-entry deadline is tomorrow, but you can also register on the night of the race. The Parks and Recreation puts on this race each year to promote a healthy lifestyle, more health programs to be presented to the community, and to give the community a way to socialize with one another.

"Well, it's a great fitness activity that could kickstart a lot of fitness programs for people to talk about it but havent actually implemented it. It's also a good social activity. A lot of groups come out from the break room, people that work together, come out in a social atmosphere and get to communicate with each other. It's a good social event." -Charlie Turner, Parks & Rec.
