Queen City Fair set to begin next week
The 17th annual Queen City Fair is beginning next week at the Lauderdale County AG Center, and those organizing the fair are excited about the amount of entertainment that will happen this year.
The Queen City Fair, which was started by a local family, try to mix it up each year and bring new entertainment. There will be country acts on the weekend, and there will be talent showcases between Thursday and Saturday next week. There will be a school day next Monday when the fair begins, and there will be free gate admission between four and five p.m. along with two-dollar rides.

Event Coordinator John L. McRae says, “Our biggest thing is partnering with the community. All of the radio stations, all of the TV stations, local businesses, civic organizations, 4-H, Boys & Girls Club, all of them. We reach out to them and see how we can help each other. Its just a real sense of community, which I feel we need right now.”
The fair begins next Monday, October 8th, and goes until the 14th. For more information, visit queencityfair.net.
