M.U.M. hosting 22nd Annual Halloween Jam
For those who love Halloween and live music, a local music store is having their annual Halloween Jam on October 27th. Meridian Underground Music has been hosting this free event for the past 22 years. This year's show will include eight bands from New Orleans, Tennessee, Huntsville, and even some from Meridian. There will be a food truck from Ragin' Blazin' Barbeque along with free popcorn. The Halloween Jam will start at 4 pm and go until 10 pm. All ages are permitted, and Meridian Underground Music says its family friendly and a way for the community to come and have fun without spending a lot of money.

"It shows that we have a venue that people can come play totally free. They can get their name out there, from local bands to bands traveling through, you know, on their way to the coast or coming from the coast. We get a lot of different kind of people. It being free, it just creates an awesome day. People can get out and have something to do and not have to worry about spending a lot of money,” says M.U.M Manager Aaron Smith.

There will also be a costume contest at the Halloween Jam. For more information, stop by Meridian Underground Music downtown.
