The City of Meridian acknowledges National Red Ribbon Week.

In honor of the National Red Ribbon Week, The City of Meridian is acknowledging Drug Abuse Resistance Education.City officials and residents met outside of the Lauderdale County Courthouse, and all took a pledge to remain drug-free.Several participated in the ceremony, including Daren the lion mascot who was the special guest and showed love to everybody, he will make surprise visits all week to Meridian Public Schools, to share the drug-free message to children.
