Local Businesses prepare for Small Businesses Saturday.

This Saturday is Small Business Saturday and local business in the area will have all kinds of items up for a grabs.

“On Small Business Saturday you are supporting our local stores, our local economy, you’re keeping the money local.”

Store owners say Small Business Saturday is all about giving customers what they are looking for and they like to show their appreciation for doing business with them.

“We love to help participate in Small Business Saturday because it supports our local businesses, our mom and pops store, that’s what we are and that’s what we want to support.”

Crooked Letter Manager Mandy Galyean says she was shocked by the number of shoppers they received when participating in the national holiday a year ago.

“Last year was our very first year to be open, and we did see an increase in customers in the downtown area.”

Galyean says one thing customers do look forward to is door busters.

“We’ll have 20% off every item in the store except our consignment items, and we’ll be open 8 AM to 6 PM on Friday and Saturday.”

Galyean adds how Other accommodations are usually arranged so this sale won’t be missed.

“If you miss our sale on Saturday we do have Crooked Letter dot shopping available for your online shopping.”

Liberty Shop business owner Robbie Hales also says this type of sales remains ongoing.

“We continue from the day after Thanksgiving, and we continue to have basically the same type of specials going on in the store, and it’s just a continuation of the day after Thanksgiving.”
