Ballet Hispanico performs for special needs students in Lauderdale county

Special needs students here in Lauderdale county received a special treat early this morning. America’s leading Latino dance organization, Ballet Hispanico, performed for the students.

With the dancers coming from all over the world, they perform not only for the general public, but also schools and children who come from under-privileged backgrounds.

Special needs teachers here in Lauderdale county say music is often used as a sensory exercise for the children as it helps them to express themselves.

Ballet Hispanico will be performing at the MSU Riley Center tomorrow evening at 7:30.
