First Christian's Kentucky Ham Meal: Day two
And just like that, First Christian Church's 56th Kentucky Ham Meal came and went.

The church saw hundreds of visitors to the meal on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
For eight-dollars visitors enjoyed a complete breakfast that included healthy portions of Kentucky ham, eggs, grits, and biscuits.

Pastor for First Christian Church Mark Benson says the proceeds go to several good causes in the area.
"We have about eight local charities like Love's Kitchen and Care Lodge. There are more that are listed on place mats as you're seated... As well as a couple in Jackson; Southern Christian Services and Blaire Batson Hospital benefit from the proceeds that we make on this meal," Benson said.

Church staff and members went to great lengths to make sure everyone had an opportunity to take part in the meal; even providing a drive-thru option as well as a delivery service.
