CF Rail services is expanding it's Meridian facility.

CF Rail Services held a ground breaking ceremony this morning for a new facility.

Several people gathered to celebrate the future expansion of The Meridian company which specializes in rail road maintenance.Construction is now underway for a new finishing facility that will focus primarily on coating rail cars inside and out.

According to officials with CF Rail Services, this will be a state of the art facility that will be sixty thousand square feet.

“Meridian is a key component in our maintenance network, and this is the optimum place in the country for where we believe the optimization of investment will happen, so we’ve been here for several years, and it was time to invest in the finishing portion of the operation.” Said Jery Bohacik vice president of CF Rail Services.

The construction is expected to be completed at the end of this year.
