Second B.A.N. meeting happening tomorrow evening
In an effort to keep local businesses safe, the Meridian Police Department is hosting a series of meetings on crime prevention. Tomorrow evening at 6 pm at Squealers BBQ off North Hills St. The police department will be hosting a Business Alert Network meeting. This is a program enlists the active participation of business owners, managers, and employees in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in their place of business.

It will include information on things such as crime reporting, burglary prevention, retail theft, and self-protection and personal safety.

"We want the criminals that's in meridian to know that our meridian businesses are not an easy target for crimes,” said Lt. Rita Jack with the Meridian Police Department.
