Meridian Community College starts weekly orientation

Today, Meridian Community College launched its first weekly orientation for the month of June.

Classes are set to start later in August, but 130 students participated in orientation and witnessed what junior college life is all about. Some students even traveled from Georgia, Tennessee, and Louisiana to take advantage of the opportunity.

An all exclusive tour was given around the campus and then students were able to register for their classes, meet potential classmates and it all ended with lunch being served.

“At this orientation, students were able to see our campus, we actually did a video tour today because of the rain this morning. They were able to meet their classmates, they were able to see some of their classmate’s campus life, they were able to get involved but primarily the main reason we do orientation is, so they can register for classes.” Said Brandon Dewease, director of recruiting.
