Local Little Caesars gives pizza to the less fortunate

The Little Caesars in Meridian did a good dead by giving back to the community.

The Little Caesars Love Kitchen 18-wheeler stopped outside Love’s Kitchen in Meridian to feed those less fortunate. The big rig is normally used to assist those in need during a natural disaster but when no disasters are present the trucks are sent to different communities to offer free pizza.

Approximately 50 hot and ready pizzas were prepared in the truck that fed over 200 people, franchise personnel say it takes about an hour in a half to prepare the pizza.

“We enjoy doing this for the community, this summer will have been 28 years in August that we’ve been in Meridian and we try to give back to the community as much as we can because Meridian has been good to us, so we raised our family here, our girls and we’ve got grand kids and we enjoy being in Meridian.” Said Ken Labruyere, owner of Meridian Little Caesars.

Local franchise owners cover all food materials when preparing the pizza. Organizers closed down the mobile kitchen by noon today.
