DA candidate spending night in jail
Attorney Michael Grace did not have a good day today. His tardiness is costing him a night in jail.
Grace already irritated Chancery Judge Larry Primeaux by not properly withdrawing from a civil case, leading to a court order for him to pay a $250 fine and $2,000 refund on September 19th, which he did. However, Grace then failed to show up in court today, instead sending his secretary to tell Judge Primeaux he was “running late”.
That was not acceptable to the judge who ordered him fined another $500 and to spend 24-hours behind bars. In addition to the fine(s), the Court will be filing a bar complaint against Mr. Grace.
Michael Grace is running against current 10th District Attorney, Kassie Coleman, in the November 5th election.
