Registration is open for Salvation Army's Annual Angel Tree

Seventy-seven days away from Christmas and there’s still plenty of time to make this holiday season bright for some deserving kids in the region.

Registration is now open for The Salvations Army’s Annual Angel Tree. You must call to schedule an appointment at the sixth avenue location.

Angel Trees help provide clothes and toys to children under 12 whose parents may not be able to provide for them.

“It’s important to register now. A lot of people don’t think of Christmas at this time. It takes us a process to get the Angels printed out and placed on trees and give people an opportunity to adopt them so that the children will have Christmas at Christmas time,” said Lt.Tamara Robb, commanding officer.

Parents need to bring their picture id, birth certificates, social security cards for each child as well documentation of income and expenses.

The Expected Day for angels to be adopted Is November 1st.
